Health and Wellness: Out of an abundance of caution the SBA Archery Team will follow the NASP and SBA guidelines concerning COVID-19. Masks are welcome but not required at this time. Archery bows must be cleaned, with provided cleaner, after each use. Archery arrows will not be shared within the team and all team members must practice social distancing during practices and tournaments.
PARENTS WILL DRIVE their own children.
Practice Dates: Will begin on September 7, 2021. All students will practice each Tuesday with the middle school students practicing from 5:30-6:30 pm and high school students practicing from 6:30 - 7:30. Practices will take place at East Brainerd Archery Club, 7745 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Please note practice times and dates are subject to change. The SBA Archery season will run from September 2021 to May 2022.
Guidelines: The Silverdale Archery Team will be using the guiding principles of The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).
Cost: A fee of $250 will be applied to your students FACTS account.
Mission: To teach and foster a love for the discipline of archery. To improve educational performance in the shooting sports among our students while building character, strengthening integrity, honesty, good sportsmanship, and composure.
Tournament Dates: TBA
Team requirements: The team is open to any middle or high school SBA student willing to work hard and dedicate time and effort to do his/her best. No prior experience required! To meet tournament regulations, our team must consist of at least 4 females and 4 males. We must have 12-24 students to make up a tournament team. In some cases, individual archers may compete.
Students will need to have an updated physical uploaded to Magnus Health by October 1. Please note, the physical must have been completed after April 15, 2021.
Waivers: Below is the participation waiver for East Brainerd Church of Christ. The participation fee to EBCOC is included in your student’s archery fee. Please do not include a separate payment.
