Ascend COVID Symptoms Explained

Below is a list of the COVID symptoms listed in Ascend. Please take a minute and read through how they are defined below. 

  • Sore throat - pain in the throat; not scratchy throat due to allergies

  • Congestion or runny nose - excess mucus and secretions in the air passages of the nose

  • Onset of severe headache - not your typical headache or migraine; random headache comes on very bad with no explanation as to why

  • Muscle pain/body aches - pain and aches are unrelated to any physical activity

  • Shortness of breath - not related to underlying medical condition (ie, asthma)

  • Chills - unrelated to being physically wet from sweat and physical exertion

  • Vomiting or abdominal pain - unrelated to excessive physical activity

  • Fatigue - unrelated to lack of sleep or overexertion from physical activity

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • New uncontrolled cough - not occasional cough; repetitive coughing that came on suddenly and cannot be controlled; not related to any medication or underlying chronic medical condition

  • Loss of appetite

  • More than 3 loose stools in 24 hours
